Fall is just around the corner! The Autumnal Equinox is September 22nd and it is when all the fun is going to begin. This is not a crash diet. It’s flexible and involves only real food. Yes. Even animal protein if you need it. You will not be limited to smoothies and juice unless that is what you are aiming to do to yourself.
The goal? Facilitate healthy change and transition into Fall to prepare your system for winter. Like the seasons our diets will constantly change as well. Until things that don’t serve us are eliminated we can’t see clearly what is actually slowing us down. Take 11 days at the beginning of each season to set the tone. Get your body ready to take the weather ahead and eliminate things that are not serving you.

Stress eating, Binging, purging, emotional eating, not eating, over eating, sweets, carbs, dairy, sugar and caffeine addictions. Maybe it’s time to check in with yourself and to take it back to the basics. Our bodies are a unique eco system that needs maintenance and refining. I would love nothing more than to support and facilitate healthy life changing habits and see you find your way back to you. It’s pretty awesome.

Honestly, I still can’t believe it. Almost 18 months pain-free. As I approach fifty with a family history of various health issues and predisposition to type 2 diabetes, it is clear to me that it is important I NEED to take care of my physical body. Like many, I didn’t know where to start. I had dabbled with over the counter detox systems (they sat in the refrigerator). However I knew I wanted to make changes because my plan is to live long enough to watch my children grow to be my age. Working with amy has made it easy. I am not finished. This was a beginning and I am learning each day. Reading through the posts tonight, I have to sat that I get this swell of positive, happy emotions seeing a group of women (strangers no less!) come together to take on a challenge and to support one another. I was getting ready to start a weight loss challenge when a friend posted that she was starting the Summer Reboot. I briefly checked into it and signed up not really knowing what I was getting into. I immediately downloaded the information and started reading through it. The recipes looked good. I made a trip to the grocery store and got started. The first few days were a little bit challenging coming off the sugar and figuring out what foods to eat that were on the approved list. The morning smoothies were wonderful. I was never really hungry throughout the two weeks. I found that I didn’t really miss the sugar ( the smoothies were naturally sweet). By the end I had lost 5 pounds and felt great. I have made the smoothies and salads a part of my regular eating habits. I have also kept the 5 pounds off and have lost another 2 pounds and still going. -Sarah T
